Write a response to the following prompt: If you had to choose your five favorite celebrities, who would they be and why? A celebrity is a famous person. This could include movie stars, rock stars/musicians, athletes (like hockey or basketball players), social media personalities, youtubers, etc.

Instructions: spend 10 to 12 minutes writing your response (it’s okay to think/brainstorm beforehand – but you should be writing for the allotted time). Your response should begin with a list, followed by a few short paragraphs detailing your reasons for choosing these five people. Remember, you could have chosen anyone…you must have your reasons for choosing these individuals.

Weekly writing assignment:  Choose one interesting anecdote (something fun or interesting that happened) from your Christmas vacation. You will write a mini version of a memoir on this event.

Instructions: spend 15 to 20 minutes writing on this event today. You will be given a block of time during each language arts period this week to write on this event. Your final finished product must be a minimum of four proper paragraphs, and a maximum of one and half pages in length. This is due be end of day Friday.
