Home Learning: Wednesday Jan. 26th

Students are asked to complete all Home Learning assignments to the best of their ability.

Students will be asked to pass in all assignments/art materials/french books when in-person learning resumes on January 31st.

FRENCH: Click on the attachment ‘Home Learning Jan. 25th’ below to find activities that will permit students to practice their French listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

MATH: In the new Home Learning package, students will find an assignment entitled “Solving Equations Involving Addition and Subtraction”. Students are asked to read/review the section ‘Quick Review’ on the top of side one of this worksheet.  Students are then asked to complete #1 and # 2 on side one of the worksheet, and #1 and #2 on side two of the worksheet. Answers go directly on the worksheet please.

Art: In the new Home Learning package, students will find instructions for this week’s art activity: Summer Beach Scene (Oil Pastels). As you will recall, students were asked to keep the art materials that were in the first Home Learning package at home in order to complete this week’s art project.

READING (English): Students are asked to read for 15-20 minutes daily from a book that they may have at home or from the school library book that they may have taken home before Christmas.

Physical Education: In the new Home Learning package, students will find a Phys Ed log to keep track of their physical activities while they are home for home learning. Mr. Flynn will collect these Phys. Ed. logs when students return to in-person learning.  Mr. Flynn will also be using his teacher page to create and provide new content to keep students active at this time

Bingo: These are the final numbers until in-person learning resumes.  If nobody has a full card after today’s 60th number below, we will continue the game when in-person learning resumes on Jan. 31st until we have a winner.  If any student turned in their bingo card when the first Home Learning package was collected last week, I will repeat all numbers when classes resume before we proceed with new numbers. Today’s numbers are:

B: 4             I: 30             N: 35             G: 51           O: 69

Please contact Mr. Thompson by e-mail should your child have difficulties with any of the Home Learning assignments.
