Good morning students, parents/guardians.

Today, November 23^rd, 2021, is an operational day at Max Aitken.

Wishing a Happy Birthday to Grayson today- we will celebrate as soon as we return to class!  

Language Arts

·         Please practice saying the alphabet letter names and sounds.

·         This week we are learning about the letter Hh. Hh makes the sound /h/, which comes from the back of the throat and feels like hot air. We slap our legs like a horse galloping – Honey Horse.

·         Go on an Hh hunt in your home to see what you can find that begins with h.

·         Do you know anyone who has an Hh in their name?

·         From your home packet sent home earlier this year, please practice tracing the letters a to h.

Math

This week we are continuing to learn about subitizing and reviewing patterns.

·         Check out this video on youtube - Subitize with POWER – Power Academic Strength and Conditioning

·         Practice tracing the numerals 1 to 5

·         From your home packet, play Roll and Cover Ten Frame - Play the roll and cover dice game with a family member using your dice and counters.
