Letter for May 11-15 week

Posted: May 10, 2020

Good morning boys and girls,

I hope you all had a chance to celebrate your special moms/grandmothers yesterday!

This week for our sight words lets look at List 13 words “day, down, into, looking”.  These words can be added to your campfire notebooks. There are some ways to practice your site words on the sight word choice board- posted earlier. Stay tuned for a photo gallery of fun ways & ideas to learn your sight words. Hopefully you are enjoying Raz Kids reading site- just a reminder that you can listen to the stories by clicking the headphones or read the book yourself by clicking the book icon.

On the grid this week there is a “Shape tap” game to play as you review 2D shapes (circle, square, rectangle,             triangle, rhombus)

Before school switched to Home Learning we introduced 3D shapes by sorting them. Keep in mind- Kindergartens can name 2D shapes but we are not expected to know the 3D shape names. For example: “A cube” would be refer to “like a box”;  "A cylinder” would be “like a can”; "A sphere” would be “like a ball”.

Have fun with your activities on the grid this week.  I look forward to chatting with you all this week.

Miss you,

Mrs. Cameron
