Letter to students June 8th-12th

Posted: June 8, 2020

Dear Boys and Girls,

Guess what? This is your last week of Kindergarten!! It just seems like yesterday that you were arriving into our classroom with a bookbag packed full of spare clothes, Kleenex & plastic bags! You had your new sneakers ready to go as soon as we figured out which one fit which foot. You couldn't wait to have a snack & play with toys you could see & those tucked away in Mrs. Cameron's closet. Some of you ran into the classroom; while some of you needed just one more hug & a picture before you were ready to start your day.

Oh how you have all grown both in height and maturity!

Never in a million years would I believe we would be ending our year this way- with home learning due to a nasty virus called Covid! Please know how proud I am of each of you for all you accomplished within the walls of Max Aitken but also all you continued to learn while we have been home.  Our classroom is just not the same without all of you there with me these last weeks. But good knews- Mrs. Cameron is still going to be in the hallways & on the playground next fall & for many years to come.  I can't wait to see all of you whenever it is safe to return to school, in your new classrooms, and hear about all the wonderful things you are learning next year.  This Friday June 12th will be your official last day of Kindergarten but I know you will all continue to ask lots of questions & learn lots over the summer. Report cards should be issued on June 19th- stay tuned for pick up information.

Have a great week,

Mrs. Cameron
