Good morning students and families!

Today is our 3rd day of Home Learning in 2022.

Here are today’s activities.

Language Arts:

Letter Ll - This week we are learning about the letter l. Ll makes the sound /l/. This sound is made in the mouth - with the tongue pushing up against your top front teeth. Lizzy Lizard lays her body on a log as she makes the sound.

Letter Ll Activities:

In your home learning packet, take out the sheet with the picture of the lizard. Practice printing 10 lovely letter ls around the picture of the lizard. Remember to start at the top and go down in a straight line. Color the lizard. :)

Sight Words

Our sight words for this week are:seea

Practice sheet - In your home learning packet, take out the sight word sheet for practicing reading the word I. (I paint, I eat, etc.) Practice reading while pointing to the words and using the pictures. Next, complete the activity sheet titled SuperSight Word:I.Remember, when we read I as a word, it is always a capital letter.

In your home learning packet, take out the sheet titled Count the Warm Mittens! Count the mittens, fill in the ten frame to show that many and write the numeral in the blank. The first one is done for you!

On the website Art for Kids Hub, there is a cartoon ladybug to draw. Check it out!  How To Draw A Cartoon Ladybug (Right click on the link to open)

You can count & add 6 dots onto your ladybug (3 on each side or 4 & 2 or 5 & 1)

It is important to read to your child each day and have them go outside for physical activity- hopefully it will be warmer today.

Squiggle Park – don't forget to check out Squiggle Park for lots of great literacy activities. You can log in using the information that was sent home earlier in the year.

Check out Mr. MacKinnon’s Teacher Page for some fun and creative ideas to stay physically active! He has added a Ten Day Dance Unit that students can try at home.

Any completed work can be stored in the Home Learning Kit - until we return to in person learning at school to be placed in their binders.

Once again, thank you for all your support during this challenging time of Home Learning.

Any questions or anything you would love to share please send an email.
