Good morning students and families!
Today is our third day of Home Learning. We have more fun activities planned for you.
Language Arts
I Spy – Using the Letter Trace sheet from your packet, play an I Spy the Letter game. The first player says “I spy the letter ___.” The second player covers the letter with an object. Repeat until you have covered all of the letters of the alphabet.
Draw a picture of a character from your favorite book, TV show or movie. Ask someone to write down your story. Remember your story matches your picture!
Math
In your packet, play Roll and Cover the numeral game, using your dice and counters.
In your packet, use your white board marker to trace the numerals 1 – 5.
Action patterns – Continue these action patterns with somebody at home:
clap, tap, clap, tap, clap, tap
stomp, clap, stomp, clap, stomp, clap
jump, clap, jump, clap, jump, clap
Can you make up your own action pattern?
It is important to read to your child each day and have them go outside for physical activity.
Check out Mr. MacKinnon’s Teacher Page for some fun and creative ideas to stay physically active!
Website: A website students would enjoy is starfall.com.
Click on Kindergarten and the ABCs and you will find videos to learn about the letters & sounds. There are also other activities that are free on the site that are highlighted in color.
Thank you to those who are emailing back to me and letting me know what you are working on at home. I will be checking in with you each day through email or phone. Please respond back when you can. Thank you!
