Sight words, reading and math

Mrs. Cameron kindly shared her note to her class this week with me to share with you.

Sight Words

This week for our sight words let’s look at List 13 words –

day, down, into, looking.

These words can be added to your campfire notebooks. There are some ways to practice your site words on the sight word choice board- posted earlier. Stay tuned for a photo gallery of fun ways & ideas to learn your sight words.

Reading

Hopefully, you are enjoying the Raz Kids reading site- just a reminder that you can listen to the stories by clicking the headphones or read the book yourself by clicking the book icon.

Math
On the grid this week there is a “Shape tap” game to play as you review 2D shapes (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, rhombus)

Before school switched to Home-Learning we introduced 3D shapes by sorting them. Keep in mind- Kindergartens can name 2D shapes but we are not expected to know the 3D shape names. For example: “A cube” would be referred to “like a box”; "A cylinder” would be “like a can”; "A sphere” would be “like a ball”.
