Due Date:

Monday, June 8, 2020

This is our LAST week of home learning opportunities! I am slowing down the amount of things that I am posting because I am working hard to prepare your year end report cards and a special surprise for each of you. I will be calling near the end of the week for any student who would like to soeak with me, as I know that you are all eager to share before you officially go on SUMMER VACATION!

Math

Problem of the day- New problems for the week. A translated version of this will be added to the document.

Digital learning- Continue playing on Sumdog and Dreambox! Low tech game ideas: play yahtzee, uno, war, or cribbage (if you don't know how to play, perhaps parents or grandparents can help! First person to 120 wins!) Measuring out ingredients for recipes is another way to math math fun and interactive.

Literacy

Sight words- I will not be adding a new list of words, but feel free to revisit the videos to work on the ones that have previously been covered.

Reading- make sure you are reading 30 minutes a day- English or French. I will not be assigning new books, but you will have access to the website readingatoz for another few weeks, so feel free to take advantage of this resource.

Other opportunities

Be sure to check out the K-2 and 3-5 tabs for other ideas!

I am thinking of all of you, missing you and wishing you all the very best summer vacation.

Lots of love,

Mme. S
