Sight Words
This week for our sight words we are looking at List 14 words –
they, went, where, will
These words can be added to your campfire notebooks if you like.
Take a look at the photo gallery of some fun ways to practice sight words! A big Thank You to Mrs. Cameron for sharing these with us!
Reading
If you haven’t yet had a chance, check out the Raz Kids reading site which has leveled books that your child can use to practice reading skills. You can listen to the stories by clicking the headphones or read the book yourself by clicking the book icon. If you want your child’s level changed, please let me know. :)
The most important thing to remember is to read every day and enjoy the book together.
Math
On the Home Learning grid this week there is a “Shape hunt” game to play.
Remember - Kindergartens can name 2D shapes but we are not expected to know the 3D shape names. For example: “A cube” would be referred to “like a box”; "A cylinder” would be “like a can”; "A sphere” would be “like a ball”.
You will also find some fun math activities with a Spring bug theme.
Enjoy the beautiful weather this week. I am looking forward to chatting with you
