Here are some fun online games to practice multiplication facts at home.
Monster Multiplication: Choose the times table that you wish to practice, it can be one or more at a time. Multiple choice answers come up and you must select the right answer.

Grand Prix Multiplication: This game is a little harder as you don't get to chose which fact family to practice but still fun for those who want to keep goign beyond the five times table.

Tomatosphere is a project where a class receives two packets of seeds; one has spent time on the international space station while the other remained here on Earth. We're testing to see how spending time in space might impact the growth of our tomato seeds.

It's a greenhouse in here! Our class has started various gardening projects this month and today we started a very exciting project that was sponsored by our local Tim Hortons called project sucSEED. A hydroponic system was donated to our class and we've now planted our lettuce seeds. The students got to learn all about the various ways we can grow plants and how some ways don't require soil. The students are very excited to see how the lettuce will grow without soil. Here are a few pictures from today and how our system is set up. If you'd like to learn more about project sucSEED let me know. It's a Canadian initiative :)
