Reading

Read 15-20 mins. from the book that you have at home and record in your Reading Log, as usual; if your Reading Log is full, please turn over and record neatly on the back.  If you finish reading the book that you borrowed from the classroom, you may read your Library book or a book of your own.

Writing

Write a story that begins, “Once upon a time, there was a…”  Or, if you prefer, you may write about something else, a topic of your choice.

Spelling

Practise your List 9 Spelling words; they are in your black Homework duo-tang, and they also appear below (scroll down).  Just as we do in class, write the number of sounds that you hear in each word on the Spelling sheet, beside the word.

Math

Practise the 1x and 2x tables (see attached document- scroll down).  Remember, any number x 1 or 1 x any number is that number (example: 112 x 1 = 112; 1 x 112 = 112); and the 2x tables are the same as the doubles (example: 2 x 9 = 9 + 9 = 18).
