In addition to the work provided in the packet for today, as listed above, please complete the following:
Reading:
Read 15-20 mins. from a book that you have at home and record on the Elementary Reading Log sheet provided at the front of your packet.
Journal Writing:
Please use your green Hilroy notebook to respond to the following prompt:
What is the best birthday present you ever received and why is it so special to you?
Remember to write a paragraph of at least 4-5 complete sentences for each journal entry.
Spelling:
Practise your List 14 Spelling words, posted above. In your green Hilroy notebook, record the list words that have base words with added suffixes (endings), as follows…
Example:
moving = move + ing
(Don’t forget in this case to cross out the ‘e’ in move, to show that the ‘e’ is dropped before adding the ‘ing’ suffix.)
Math:
Practise 7x tables (see attached document).
