Dear parents,

I would love to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year full of Joy, Health, and Happiness. I would like for your child to start this second term by reviewing each night the vowels through the rhymes below. Your child could also practice counting in French with the support of songs that we practice at school. Please check my Teacher Page as I will be posting material every week. If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me at

Compte jusqu'à 50 par 1 en encerclant chaque nombre. Tu as besoin de ton marqueur et ta grille de 100 qui est laminée.

Count by one and circle each number. You need your dry erase marker and your laminated hundred grid.

I can't believe we are already in mid-October. I hope your child is enjoying being in the French Immersion Program as there is always an adapting period. Since the students should now have a base in their second language, I will now be posting sounds, frequency words and on occasion books. This will give your child an opportunity to review and practice what they learned in class.

FLORA is a French program that is currently being piloted in thirteen New Brunswick elementary schools. Due to the current situation, the NB Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is releasing fifteen electronic modules from the FLORA program. The modules include a variety of entertaining and educational songs, books and activities. Level 1 is for beginning learners, and the levels progress from there. You will find the link bellow.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and that all the mothers got spoiled and loved. You will find right below this note some activity sheets on shapes in French. Since they might not remember how to pronounce them (and I also included some new shapes), there is a nice little video for all of those who like signing ♪. Do not hesitate to send me an email if you have any questions. Bonne semaine!
