It has been a long process trying to figure things out with Tech Support in order to get our logins ready in time for our call tonight. Unfortunately I have not heard back from them again since 3 this afternoon when I was told they are changing our passwords.

That all being said I have changed our meeting date for next Tuesday. That way there is plenty of time for them to help me figure out how to get us all back together again! Even if it is only virtually.

This morning I have sent out two different login information.

1. Your child's login information for the french leveled reading site.

2. Your child's school email, username, and password. This information is what we are going to use to login to our teams account for our class meeting at 6pm tonight (Tuesday, May 26th).

Our class meeting will have to be postponed until Thursday. Parent emails will not connect or register on the teams site. The student school accounts will. So I am working on getting those for all of the students and will be sending them out to you as soon as possible so you can start to sign in ahead of time.

P.S. this will be very useful for your child as it is their school account and they will be using it in the future.

Just a reminder that to parents and students in my class that the previous weeks' learning has been posted on our class dojo site and assigned through boom learning. Because some of you have been having issues with access to class dojo, all of the links have been posted here as well.

It is going to be a beautiful week so I hope everyone will be able to go outside and have some fun! Because of the nice weather I will try and call everyone early in the week. I have not been able to get a hold of a few people in the past few weeks, so if you haven’t heard from me in a while I will be sending you my phone number through class dojo and email and I will hope to hear from you soon!

This week for home learning we will be looking at the concept of having a growth mindset with Mojo. The video and questions have already been posted for you. For our boom learning we will continue this week with the animals and habitats unit. Be sure to check out the school webpage to see more details about the activity we have been working towards, it should be fun! I have also started to include some French literacy practice on boom learning as well.

I have been hearing from all of you that it has been a little hard finding French books to read. This week I have signed our class up to an online library that is sorted by our own individual reading levels. I will be sending out the usernames and passwords this week so you can have access to the reading as soon as possible.

I am very excited to get started tonight with our very first, class facetime! Your parents will be getting an email tonight with a link to our chat, I hope to see you there!

I look forward to talking to you all and seeing you all this week.

 Have a fantastic sunny week!

Hello boys and girls. It is very important while we are not in our French classrooms that we continue to practice our French at home. You can do this in many ways. You could talk to a parent or a sibling, or even a pet. Just be sure to practice speaking out loud this week and for the weeks to come.

Feel free to email me to further your French conversation, I would love to hear from you and would love to answer you back. A great way to get ready to write your email is to practice what you want to write out loud to yourself. This will help you make sure it sounds right to you before you begin writing.

Some topic ideas for your French conversations:

What are you looking forward to doing outside when the weather warms up?

What is your favorite part about spring?

What do you not like about spring?

Do you like winter or spring better? Why?

What are some differences between spring and summer?

What are some things that you can see happening that tell you spring is arriving?

Hello boys and girls! I hope that everyone is doing well and staying safe at home. I hope that everyone is finding fun and productive things to do to fill their time like Hedwig and I have been. I wanted to let you all know that I brought your plants home and they are growing very well. I will be posting class updates on our ClassDojo acount to keep us all connected until we can see one another again.

Hedwig and I would love to hear from you all this week, so if you would like to send us an email -> (kendall.alley@nbed.nb.ca) Maybe you could even write in french! We would love to write you back.

For now it is important to stay positive and stay busy. Keeping up with our classroom routine of starting every day by writing down a happy thought is a great way to begin.
