MATH  

  • Spend 20-30 minutes on Dreambox or spend 10-15 mins working on any of the mental Math activities sent in the previous emails.  
  • Play game of Concentration with the Ways to Make 10 sheets from your Home Learning Packet. See email for further details.

LITERACY  

  • 20-30 minutes on Squiggle Park/Tumblebooks or read for 15-20 mins. 

- Complete: 

  • Short Vowel Word Family Sort sheet from your packet
  • Read the short non-fiction story Cows from your packet and answer the questions on the sheet.

As always, adapt to the needs of your child and family. I know you are doing the best you can!

MATH 

-20-30 minutes each day on Dreambox, or play either of these games:

·         Math Lines | Play Free Online Games on PrimaryGames 

 

-Spend 10-15 mins each day working on the mental Math activities sent in the email this morning. Students should be able to do these quickly in their head, but please let them use the 1-100 number chart in their homework folder if they need it    

 

Monday: 

Complete the last 3 rows (pigs, chickens and sheep) of the Comparing and Ordering Numbers sheet in your Home Learning Packet.

 

Tuesday: 

Complete the All About the Number 12  sheet from your Home Learning Packet.

 

Wednesday:

Complete the All About the Number 13  sheet from your Home Learning Packet.

 


LITERACY 

-Choose Either:

·         20-30 minutes each day this week on Squiggle Park or Tumblebooks if you have internet/an electronic device;

·         Read any books you have at home for 15-20 mins, or have someone read to you during this time.  Use the Reading Challenge: Color as you go! sheet, complete one challenge of your choice each day.

 

- Complete a Personal Narrative using the writing paper included in your Home Learning Packet. Please refer to email for details 

 

Phys. Ed.

-Please check out Mr. McKinnon’s Teacher Page as he has been adding Phys. Ed activities you may like to do!

      

***If you don’t have access to internet/electronic devices your child can complete the Home Learning packet activities assigned. If your children are spending time on Dreambox/Squiggle Park/Other suggested websites, they may not complete all assigned pages from the Home Packet.  Please adjust to the needs of your child and family All evidence of student work in Literacy and Numeracy should be returned to school with your child when school resumes. ***

-Spend 5-10 mins each day working on the Math activities sheet sent in the email this morning.

-Complete the first 3 rows (cows, goats, horses) of the Comparing and Ordering Numbers sheet in your Home Learning Packet. Write answers on the Ordering Numbers sheet.

-Complete the All About the Number 11 sheet


Literacy

-20-30 minutes each day this week on Squiggle Park if you have internet/an electronic device. If you do not have internet/an electronic device you can read any books you have at home, or have someone read to you. See email for more info.

- Use the Reading Challenge: Color as you go! sheet, complete one challenge of your choice on Thursday and a different challenge on Friday. 

-Complete the graphic organizer Blankets or no blankets? in your Home Learning Packet.

- Write a letter to Farmer Brown convincing him to either give the animals the blankets or not, using your reasons from the other page.

·         -Complete Click, Clack, Moo Sequencing Cards page from Home Learning Packet.

 

Wednesday:

·         -Complete the sheet Click, Clack, Moo: Use details from the text to complete the four blocks.  They can either draw their answers, use sentences or both.

 

      -Don't forget to get outside and play! The sun is beautiful today!
