Notices

Photo Day is Thursday Sept. 29th . Both Individual and class photos will be taken at that time.  Information on ordering photos will be sent home soon.

Math notebook: We correct all Math assignments on a daily basis in class. I then review all Math notebooks each weekend.  Please take a few minutes with your child to look over my comments/suggestions made in the notebook about your child's daily work in Math. Thanks.

French and Art: All french and art assignments are displayed in the classroom and /or on the hallway bulletin boards for several days after which all assignments are evaluated and sent home for parents to review.  Please encourage your child to show you his/her art and french assignments/projects. Thanks.

 

Upcoming events 

Our Terry Fox Walk is tomorrow, Friday Sept. 23rd in the AM.  Treat to follow the walk! Donations to the Terry Fox Foundation are welcome this week. A 'Toonie For Terry' box has been set up in the classroom. Students are asked to record any walking, running, jogging, or any other physical activity that they do each day until Friday, Sept. 23rd.  Recording sheets were sent home on Friday Sept. 16th with precise details. Fifteen minutes of exercise will be registered as 1km on our cross-Canada run. 

 

Homework 

Math: Finish #1-8 page 55 of Math textbook (Estimating Differences) which was started in class today.

Reading: Read the selection presented in class earlier this week 'Mon sac d'école' to a family member or aloud to yourself.

Photo Day: Thursday Sept. 29th (Individual and class photo)

Library/Book exchange: Our book exchange periods are Wedesdays of each week.

PhysEd periods: Our PhysEd periods are Mondays and Thursdays of each week.  Teacher is Mr. McKinnon.

Music periods: Our music periods are Tuesdays and Fridays of each week. Teacher is Mrs. Gallant.

Upcoming event: Terry Fox Walk (Friday Sept. 23rd) Donations to the Terry Fox Foundation are welcome next week.  Students are asked to record any walking, running, jogging, or any other physical activity that they do each day between today and next Friday, Sept. 23rd. We are attempting, as an entire school, to cover or surpass the distance Terry Fox reached during his run across Canada. Fifteen minutes of exercise will be registered as 1km on our cross-Canada run. Recording sheets went home today with precise details.

Notices: Meet the Teacher night tonight Wednesday Sept. 14th beginning at 6pm in the school cafeteria.

Notices: A new informational form went home today with each student. Please read it carefully. A total of eight forms have gone home yesterday and today.  Four forms that went home need to be signed and returned to school. 

School fees: Students who paid the $60 student school supplies fee yesterday/today were given a receipt to take home to parents.

Upcoming event: Class picnic on Friday Sept. 9th (1:30 - 2:30) All food items will be provided at school.

Homework :  Complete the Math problem assigned in class.  Re-read the french selection that was introduced in class today 'Les musicians' to a family member or aloud to yourself.

PhysEd: Students have their first P.E. period tomorrow.  To participate, students need indoor footwear, a separate T-shirt, short pants or sweat pants.
