Please note the following upcoming events:

Virtual Christmas Concert: A message went home today from our music teacher, Mrs. Gallant, about our upcoming Max Aitken Academy Virtual Christmas Concert. It includes a suggestion about optional costumes that might work well with their first song (a Santa hat, reindeer antlers, Christmas accessories) and Pyjamas for the second song.

Virtual French Music Concert: French immersion students will get to enjoy a virtual musical presentation by Art Richard on Dec. 7th

Virtual Talent Show: Mrs. Campbell is organizing a school virtual talent show to be presented the week before the Christmas break.  Information was provided to students today on how they may participate. Deadline to decide to participate or not is Tuesday Dec. 8th. Application forms will be available on Monday Dec. 7th. All Covid guidelines will be enforced.

Volcano projects: Students will get to display their volcano projects, including setting off their model volcano on Tuesday Dec. 8th.

Max Aitken Academy Christmas Meal: The MAA cafeteria will provide a FREE Christmas meal to all students on Wednesday Dec. 9th

Gingerbread Village: Our class will be building a Gingerbread village on Wednesday Dec. 10th.  All supplies will be provided at school. All Covid guidelines will be followed.

Pizza Fraction Fun: We will celebrate the end of our study of fractions on Dec. 17th with an afternoon of Pizza Fraction Fun! Students will get to play the boardgame Pizza Fraction Fun to reinforce their understanding of fractions.  They will be treated to some delicious pizza slices, garlic fingers, and a beverage as part of the celebration! All Covid guidelines will be followed.

Math: Complétez #2 page 184 et/and Pratiquez les tables de multiplication

Lecture/Reading (15 mins):  English chapter book chosen from classroom selections

Report card: Please return signed portion of term one report card that went home today (last page of report)

Volcano projects: Students will be creating their volcano model tomorrow Wednesday Dec. 2nd. All materials will be supplied at school, however, students may enhance their projects with items they might have at home (eg. lava rocks)

PJ /Hat Day: This Thursday Dec. 3rd is a PJ/Hat Day fundraiser ($2 to participate)

Math: Complétez #5-9 page 182 et/and Pratiquez les tables de multiplication

Lecture/Reading (15 mins):  Student selected French reading book chosen from classroom bins

Parent/Teacher conference: Remind your child to return the parent/teacher conference form that went home on Friday
