Winter Carnival day five: Winter clothing required
PJ / Hat Day: A message went home earlier this week about tomorrow's fundraising activity (Friday Feb. 26th)
STEM projects: We are continuing with our STEM (science projects) at school. All work will be completed at school. All materials are being provided at school. Project due date: Friday February 26th. Projects will be displayed in the grade 3-5 wing.
Towers and Pyramids: A few weeks ago, students completed a series of structures in Science class. Tomorrow, students will test the strength of their towers and pyramids. Three separate strength and stability tests will be used to determine the strongest structures in the class. Prizes will be awarded to the top three projects in each category.

Tomorrow, Feb. 24th, is Pink Shirt Day at Max Aitken Academy. The message of this day is inclusiveness in schools. Students are encouraged to wear a pink shirt/sweater to school tomorrow. I have a class activity planned on the same theme as well.

Valentine's Day: We will be celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow Friday Feb. 12th. I have some in-class activities planned for the students along with a special treat. Students are welcome to bring in Valentine Day cards to exchange with classmates. Treats prepared at home are not permitted at this time due to Covid restrictions.
