Reading Options for Students

A. Sora Online Reading Library (free to students)

1. Download the Sora app from your App store or go to the website: Sora (soraapp.com)

When it asks you to choose school, just type "NB" for New Brunswick.

Click on the New Brunswick link.

Students will then enter their school email: username@nbss.nbed.nb.ca and then their student password.

B. Readworks (online reading comprehension practice, with audio if needed)

Go to https://www.readworks.org/

How to get students to their assignments

1. Have students go to www.readworks.org/student

2. Students enter class code WZUFMA

3. Tell your students that their default password is 1234

Note: Students can change their passwords when they log in, and you can change student passwords on this page.

D. Read a hard copy of a book, while listening to the audio version of the book. This is great for students who want to read harder books, but need a little help.

Yearbook orders are now on sale for the 2022-2023 school year. To order, you can follow the link below or fill out the form that will be sent home this week with your student. (Cash or Cheque can be sent with form)

Collaboration: Canva and models need to be complete as Health Fair will take place on Tuesday, March 21st

Reading - students will be asked to do a reading journal in class in the next week so they need to be reading daily at home for 20 minutes during the week

Writing - students are expected to gather facts for their biography (grade 6) and explanatory (Grade 7); drafts will be written in class only but they can gather facts at home

Skating - the last skating will take place March 23rd

March 24th - no school for students due to meetings
