On Monday, February 1st, our class has a very exciting opportunity to participate in a 45-minute Zoom panel for the launch of the Willie O’Ree Lessons in Social Justice and Racism, powered by the NHL and Classroom Champions. We are the only class in NB chosen to participate in this event.
The panelists will include Willie O’ Ree, Sarah Nurse, Bryant McBride, Moe Hasham, Brittany Morrison and will be moderated by Ron McLean. They have also just announced a very special guest- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Students will have the chance to ask a question on behalf of our class. What an incredible experience!
Due to the timing of our Zoom call, students will need to be picked up from school on Monday at 3:30 pm. We are also asking students to wear a hockey jersey or MAA colors.
Please ensure you have returned the signed permission slip (paper copy or electronically) as soon as possible.
