STEM and Homeroom Notices for April 1-4

Math-

Grade 7 & 8 will continue learning about multiplying and dividing fractions. Several assessments went home for grade 7.

Science/Collab- Expo is Wednesday! Students should practice talking about their project!

Some questions to ask students: What is climate change? What have you done for your project to enact climate action? Why is it important? What does the research say? Did you talk to an expert? What have you learned?

Grade 7- Continued: Remediation work on Plotting Coordinates and Probability; New Concept: Parallel and perpendicular lines, Perimeter. Handout to be given.

Grade 8- Dividing integers, quiz Tuesday. New concept: Volume of Right Cylinders

Science/Collab- Expo is postponed to date April 2nd. Projects should be near complete or have a plan/date in place. Students should be able to talk about what they did and why it's important with facts/research. Our mock expo will take place in class this Wednesday, March 19th.
