AR is due on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013!  Read!!! Reading journal 4 is due on Friday.  Prompt- Are the characters realistic (do they seem like they could be real people)?  Why or why not? Give examples.  Show your thinking. Persuasive writing final copy is due on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013.  This must be typed. Get reading journal 3 signed

All classes: Reading Journal number 3 is due on Friday.  Please keep in mind that Wednesday is the dance at HMS and that Thursday is Halloween, so students should get the journal done early in the week.  The prompt is a repeat of prompt number 1: Give a brief summary of what you have been reading.  What do you think the author will do next?  Remember all entries must be in proper sentence and paragraph form, be a least a 1/2 a page, and show the readers thinking.  Make sure to give lots of examples.  A sample of my journal number 3 is attached below.   AR- only 9 school days left to get your goal for term 1   Crazy hair day tomorrow!!!

LA- phew... almost done writing the Gr. 7 Provincial Assessment.  We will hopefully finish up tomorrow :)   7A & 7B- Please don't forget that your Phys. Ed. logs and your Science notebooks are due TOMORROW!

All students who do not have two persuasive pieces of writing complete, must do so by Tuesday, Oct. 15.   SS- ch. 1 test has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 17.  A review sheet will be given to the students tomorrow (Wed. Oct. 9) and is also attached here.  Please get Myself in 10 Years project signed for Tuesday.   Have a great Thanksgiving weekend!

There will be no reading journal for this week. All students should have their second persuasive topic completed for tomorrow.  All writing pieces must have: brainstorming, a persuasion map, and a double spaced draft copy that is at least 5 paragraphs long. SS- read p. 15 if you were absent from 7A For 7A & 7B there will be a test on Ch. 1 on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
