This is the work for the week January 24th- 28th **** Only videos I post will be new***** All assignments are due Friday January 28th.

8P1 PIF ( FRENCH)

  • Teams meeting Tuesday January and Thursday January 27th both at 9:30 am.
  • Take a look at "Le Mur de mot" under files in TEAMS. This will help you recognize and identify vocabulary we will be using in this 
  • Complete both Word search p.49 vêtements et accessoires + Les vêtements. ( Use the videos I posted from You tube, and the word wall to help you with the vocabulary)
  •  Booklet " Les vêtements " p. 4,8,9 and 16 ( we will work on these pages together during our Team meetings and I will also post a video with explaination).

  •  " Governements au Canada" Read p. 19 and complete the bottom part. You must choose of the the federal ministeries ( ex: Finances, Fisheries and Oceans, Environment and Climate Changes etc.....) then explain why you would like to be the minister for this particualr ministry ( Tou en Français"). 
  •  Governements au Canada" Complete the word search on p. 20
  •  Français: Using your notes from " Poème Fixe" complete the packet " Si j'étais un poisson" p, 2, 3 and 4. It's the same activities as your packet " Le Secret", you just need to use le poême " Si j'étais un poisson".

  •  " Governements au Canada" p. 16, 17, 18and complete the bottom of page 18 ( You may use the internet to help you identify 10 ministers).

Please go to the middle school door to hand in assignments ( in a labelled enveloped) and to received your new materials. **** Please note not all teachers have prepared packets. Please reach out to individual teachers if you are reqesting a packet. I (Ms.Richardson) have prepared packets for all of my classes 7E, 8E, 8P1 and 8P2. If you are unavailable during this schedule pick up please e-mail me to make alternate arrangements. Thank you.

There will be a second pick up on Friday January 21st, 2022 between noon-3pm ( during this time you will gather new materials and hand in your envelop with completed assignments).

Videos + technology.

Good morning students and parents,

Just a little note, I'm trying very hard to make videos and up load them to each of my 4 TEAM sites. Many times, I'm facing some technological issues. Also, please note there are times homework is not updated first thing in the morning as I'm supervising students, on a TEAM call or the MAA website is showing error as so many are trying to access the site at the same time. 

 

To access the videos I post online, students must request access. These videos are private, once they request access I will accept and they can view the video whenever they need to.

Operational Day

Homeroom- 8E Richardson

  • We will be decorating our classroom + door this week as we participate in spirit week. Come prepared with some ideas, decorations made or from home ( extra).
  • Ticket on the Ninento Switch will be sold Dec. 14th, 15th and 17th, tickets are $2.00 each.
  • Christmas Cafeteria Dinner is Thursday December 16th ( however must have been pre-ordered and payed for las week). This is just a reminder there will be no other meal available on this day.

  • Both classes will be working on making cards in French for our elementary students in French immersion. Students can write their message in French and e-mail to me for verification. It should be more then just Joyeux Noel .
  • Reading in French ( if you don't have a French book at home) please go to documents ( tab at the top of this page). In the document French websites, there are a few which you can access French books/stories.

8E- Collaboration: 

  • Students had their mini showcase on Dece,ber 10th, our final Showcase in when we return from Christmas break. Students should be completing their final projects, posters, project board, power point etc......

This week students will work on catching up/ completing at home learning assignments ( we will not be covering anything new this week):

  •  " Bande dessinée" draft was due Friday November 5th.
  • Complete  all check-in on Teams.
