Homework for Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013

All students who do not have two persuasive pieces of writing complete, must do so by Tuesday, Oct. 15.   SS- ch. 1 test has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 17.  A review sheet will be given to the students tomorrow (Wed. Oct. 9) and is also attached here.  Please get Myself in 10 Years project signed for Tuesday.   Have a great Thanksgiving weekend!

Homework for Monday, Oct. 7, 2013

There will be no reading journal for this week. All students should have their second persuasive topic completed for tomorrow.  All writing pieces must have: brainstorming, a persuasion map, and a double spaced draft copy that is at least 5 paragraphs long. SS- read p. 15 if you were absent from 7A For 7A & 7B there will be a test on Ch. 1 on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

All Classes: 15 mins. Reading Reading Journal 2- due Friday (see sample below) Journal 2- Are the characters realistic (do they seem like they could be real people)?  Why or why not? Give examples.

Homework/Notices for Sept. 23, 2013

Please bring in old magazines. Tomorrow is hat day- pay $1 and wear your hat.  All funds go to the Terry Fox Foundation Book order is due tomorrow. Picture envelopes are due on Wednesday.   LA- 15 mins. reading.  Journal entry number one is due on Friday.  Prompt 1- Give a brief summary of what is happening/ has happened in your reading. If you were the author, what would you have happening next? Explain.    All journals must be at least a half of a page long and be in proper sentence and paragraph form (please see attached for my sample journal).   SS- Myself in 10 Years project is due on Monday, Sept. 30 (see attached)

Homework for June 6, 2013

The last day to take AR quizzes is TOMORROW! Green Team Students- do not forget that tomorrow is our trip to Camp Sheldrake!  Please dress for physical activites, bring a complete set of spare clothes, sunscreen, and bug spray.  It is VERY important that you bring a bagged lunch as there will be no food available to purchase while we are there.  Please arrive on time tomorrow as we are leaving first thing!!!
