Every day, you will have specific sheets from your at-home learning package to complete. Additionally, you must read a minimum of one book on Je lis, Je lis (online) each day & fill in your reading log. I ask that you record yourself reading twice a week.

For those who are able to work online, there will be videos posted occasionally for math or literacy and instruction provided. Do your best to watch these videos, as hearing words and concepts explained helps with your learning.

Today's assignments from your home learning:

  • Problème du jour - Do the problem of the day for mercredi
  • Les adjectifs (1) fill in the blank with the correct answer, (2) put a + beside the positive adjectives and a – next to the negative adjectives, (3) circle the adjectives
  • “Le son -on” * click here for the sound clip. Listen to the video, pause/play as you need to. Write down the word as you hear it. (sounding out – do your best)
  • Math – « a ton tour » addition work sheet. The letters next to number (2) will go together to answer the riddle.

There will be one Zorbit assignment per week that you can complete at your own convenience. (on the app on iPad or chrome browser)

  • Problème du jour - Do the problems of the day for Lundi and Mardi (lundi is a pattern & mardi is putting the numbers in order)
  • Orthographe : leçon 6 (This is the sheets we had been doing for homework before the break.)
  • Math - "Additionner des nombres à 2 chiffres" worksheet. You can practice adding two digit numbers together for today. There is an example at the top of the page that shows the 2 different ways we have looked at adding 2 digit numbers together.

  • Problème du jour: Il y a 11 ours qui cherchent les baies. 5 ours vont dormir. Maintenant, il y a combien d’ours qui cherchent les baies ?

  • Problème du jour: Il y a 16 élèves dans la classe de mme Taylor, 16 élèves dans la classe de mme Comeau, et 18 élèves dans la classe de Ms. Anderson. Combien d’élèves est-ce qu’il y a en 3e année en total ?

  • Problème du jour: Aujourd’hui, c’est le jour 41. Combien de jours reste-t-il avant le 100e jour d’ecole ? (Show your work & keep it to bring back to school. You should have the date and your name on all of your work)
  • Create a subtraction word problem. You can write it out (in French – try your best!) and use pictures to help if needed.

  • Problème du jour: Logan a 17 sacs de bonbons. Sa soeur a mangé 6 sacs quand Logan était dehors. Combien de sacs de bonbon est-ce que Logan a maintenant? (Show your work and keep your paper or take a photo so I can check your work.)

Today we will be learning from home, but hopefully we will be back in person soon. Your assignments for the day will be listed below, and all of your login information has been sent to your parents' email. If you have not received yours, please send me a message. 
 
Math
  • Review numbers 1-100, counting up and down.
  • Review written numbers to 100.
  • Zorbits (app on iPad or chrome browser on laptop/computer): assignment "Le premier novembre" (login to zorbits app, click on the bookbag in the top right corner, click the megaphone, and then "aller" on the assignment). If you have any other unfinished assignments, you can work on those as well. This assignment will be open until Wednesday.
Literacy
  • Je lis, Je lis (online): Read at your appropriate level. You can record yourself reading books from any of the levels at any time. When you feel the highest level available to you is too easy, please record yourself reading one of those books and then I will assign the next level to you. 
  • Lalilo (online): Click on student in school, code: PBKGCT.
