Upcoming activities

Upcoming events

-Art auction: Dec. 15th: We will have an in-class art auction of some of our art projects. Monopoly money provided! 

-Christmas Meal at MAA: Dec. 16th for those who pre-ordered the meal

-Christmas Concert recording: Dec. 17th (8:45 - 9am) in Mrs. Gallant's music room                                    

-Skating at Civic Centre: Dec. 17th (10am - 11:10am ) See notice from Mr. Flynn that went home last week

-Snowshoeing/Hot Chocolate (Postponed until next week as no snow expected this week. Tentatively Tues. Dec. 21st) 

-Spirit Week at MAA (Dec. 20th - Dec. 23rd - schedule went home last week with each student )

Please contact Mr. Thompson by e-mail should your child have difficulties with the activities listed below. Please ask your child to simply do his/her best. 

 

FRENCH: Click on the attachment ‘Home Learning Dec. 13th’ below to access the French activities.

MATH:  Click on the attachment ‘Fractions,Decimals, Measurement’ below to access today’s Math assignment.

Reading (English): I would suggest students read for 15-20 minutes today from the school library book that they chose during our book exchange period on Dec. 9th or perhaps read from a book that they may have at home.

Gingerbread village: Students will be constructing gingerbread houses for our class' gingerbread village on Wednesday Dec. 8th.  All materials will be supplies at school. All Covid guidelines will be followed.

No Tech Tickets: Today was 'No Tech Day' at MAA.  Students who participate in 'no technology activities' at home today/this evening will be given tickets to win prizes.  Tickets will be distributed on Monday Dec. 6th.

Report card: Report cards were issued yesterday.  Please sign and return the parent signature page and the report card envelope itself

Parent/teacher Conferences: Thursday (PM and evening) and Friday AM  (Day and time of conferences were communicated via e-mail to those parents who requested a parent/teacher telephone conference)
