Max Aitken Academy will be celebrating Spirit Week Dec. 18-22nd. Information about theme days have been sent home with students. Please ensure you check the memo for each of the theme days. A big thank you to our Home & School for organzing the scavenger hunt day on Monday Dec. 18th!
The Max Aitken Academy first annual Christmas Concerts will take place on Tuesday Dec. 12th for K-2 classes and Wednesday December 13th for grades 3-5 classes. Both concert dates have a start time of 9:00 am. Concerts will take place in the school gymnasium. Family and friends are encouraged to attend!
Please note that the storm date for concerts is Thursday December 14th at 9:00 am.
A reminder to the Max Aitken learning community that report cards will go home on Tuesday November 21st with Parent Teacher interviews on Thursday November 23rd from 4:30 - 6:30 pm and again on Friday November 24th from 9:00 - 11:30 am.
NOTE: If you are unable to attend Parent Teacher at the times listed and would still like to meet with your childs teacher(s), please contact the school to set up an appointment.
MAA students in middle school have the opportunity to work on Max Magazine. They will meet every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:00-4:30. The first magazine will be published prior to Christmas.
On Tuesday, October 31st Max Aitken Academy will have their first ever Halloween Assembly, beginning at 9:00am. There will be performances from some of our grade 1 students, skits from our elementary drama group, and a costume parade! There will be prizes for the best costumes at the K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 levels, as well as for the most original. Who will be our special guest costume judge? You'll have to come to find out!
Middle level students are invited to our Halloween Costume Dance.
When: Friday, October 27th, 2017, 7:00 - 9:00pm. Doors close at 7:30.
Cost: $5
Wear your costumes! There will be prizes! No full face masks allowed and school dress code is in effect. A reminder that for safety reasons, no students will be allowed to leave before 9:00pm.
