Thank you to the Miramichi branch of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Boys and Girls Club for the generous monetary donation to the Max Aitken Breakfast Program ensuring that all students have access to the healthy breakfast each day during the school year!
Max Aitken Academy students and staff will be conducting a food drive the week of October 2nd. Non perishable food items will be collected and donated to the Miramichi Food Bank. Students can bring their items to the school. NOTE: The class who brings in the most food items will receive a special class prize!
Paddy Quinn and Darcy McLauchlan from 95.9 SUN FM will be at the school on Thursday October 5th during the Thanksgiving Assembly to pick up all food items.
Meet The Teacher Night at Max Aitken will take place on Thursday September 14th beginning at 6:00 pm. Please note that meet the teacher night is for parents and guardians only. Students are asked to remain home for this meeting.
Please note that all students in grades 6, 7, 8 will begin on Tuesday September 5th. Students are asked to go to the cafeteria and wait upon arrival at the school. Homeroom teachers and Administration will welcome the students and tell them their homeroom.
A friendly reminder that the 2017-2018 school year will begin on Tuesday September 5th. Kindergarten students will begin their year following the staggered entry. Parents of Kindergarten students are asked to please conact the school if you did not receive a start date for your child. The staff of MAA is excited for the first full year and can not wait to welcome all returning and new students on September 5th!
