Important Playground Committee Meeting on Monday, April 3rd @ 6:30. This meeting is open to any parent who would like to help fundraise create a spectacular and functional playground for our students. This is a huge undertaking requiring raising tens of thousands of dollars. We need your ideas and your help.

On Thursday, March 30th Max Aitken Academy will be celebrating Acadian culture! Students will be treated to live Acadian music from Art Richard, Acadian dances on the stage, and the entire school will enjoy samples of traditional Acadian fair such as chicken fricot. Students are encouraged to wear red, blue and white. Célébrons la culture Acadienne!
Our grade 8 students will be travelling to Ottawa in May and they are selling a variety of restaurant-quality foods from Sysco as a fundraiser. The attached brochures outline the products available and the cost. If you are interested in supporting our fundraiser but have not been approached by any grade 8 students, you can contact the school to place an order.
In recognition of St. Patrick’s Day and just to have a little “Irish” fun we will be having the following activities at our school on St. Patrick's Day:
Max Aitken Academy will be holding their first middle school dance next Thursday, February 16th from 6-8 pm. The dance is open to all students in grades 6-8. Students are able to sign-in a friend from another middle school in ASD-N or from Carrefour Beausoleil. See your homeroom teacher for a sign-in sheet. Doors will close at 6:30 and students may not leave before 8:00pm unless a parent comes in to sign them out.
On Thursday, February 23rd the Home and School will host a movie night for elementary students in the cafeteria. Tables will be moved to the sides and there will be mats for students to sit on. Movie nights are free to attend but students must be accompanied by parents. A canteen will be available and there will be a 50/50 draw for parents.
