  • Students must return their signed permission slip for our trip to the Newcastle Farmer's Market on Friday April 22nd.
  • The Leahership students have been working hard on preparing our Ring In Spring Spirit Week. This will take place between Tuesday April 19th-Friday April 22nd.
Thursday April 21st: Wear Something With Flowers
Friaday April 22nd: Wear your favourite socks with sandals or rubber boots. 
 
Collaboration
  • Finish page 10 and 11 ( 5 questions for Market Research).
  • Complete your list of materials, colors, size, price etc....
  • Come up with options for business name ( English and French).

  • The Leahership students have been working hard on preparing our Ring In Spring Spirit Week. This will take place between Tuesday April 19th-Friday April 22nd.

  • Easter Lunch Special Wednesday April 13th- **** No other meal will be available on this day.
  • Second term report cards go home Monday April 11th. Parent-teacher will be Wednesday April 13th evening from 4-6pm and Friday April 14th from 9-11:30 am.
  • PJ/Hat Day Wednesday April 13th all funds raised will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross for the Ukraine Relief Fund. ( organized by the middle school Leadership group)
  • There will be no school for students on Thursday April 14th ( parent-teacher), Friday April 15th ( Goof Friday) and Monday April 18th ( Easter Monday).

  • School dance for students in grade 6,7. 8 is this Thursday April 7th from 7-9pm. Doors will not open before 7, and please make sure your child has a drive home at 9.

  • Yearbook order forms were sent home last week ( yellow form).  Yearbook's must be pre-ordered and paid by March 28th.
  •  Collaboration Project launch #2 Thursday March 24th
  • Middle school assembly Thursday March 24th......homeroom with the most positive and encouraging ( cheering) will win a bbq lunch.
  • There will be no school on Friday March 25th as teachers are working on second term report cards and attending professional learning in the afternoon. 
  • 8E will take part in the MADD presentation on Wednesday March 30th. 

 

8P1 & 8P2 PIF( Français).

  • Students need to be praticing their oral vocabulary for clothing and accessories. Students will be required to explain what they are wearing and describe what a partner is wearing in complete sentence form.

  • St. Patrick's Day special meal ( cafeteria) must be pre-ordered and payed for by Tuesday March 15th. Please note there will be no other meal option on Thursday March 17th. 
  • There will be a contest for K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 on Thursday March 17th.....best dress lauprechaun in each team grades.

  •  Friday February 4th, 2022  MAA Winter Olympics opening ceremony ( snow date Monday February 7th). Wear your country's colors. 8E is Belgium RED, BLACK and YELLOW.
  • Students will present their Climate Action Projects from Feb.7th-11th.

8P1 PIF ( FRENCH)

  • Take a look at "Le Mur de mot" under files in TEAMS. This will help you recognize and identify vocabulary we will be using in this 
  • Complete both Word search p.49 vêtements et accessoires + Les vêtements. ( Use the videos I posted from You tube, and the word wall to help you with the vocabulary)
  •  Booklet " Les vêtements " p. 8,9 and 16 ( we will work on these pages together during our Team meetings and I will also post a video with explaination). 

8P2 PIF ( FRENCH)

You must choose of the the federal ministeries ( ex: Finances, Fisheries and Oceans, Environment and Climate Changes etc.....) then explain why you would like to be the minister for this particualr ministry ( Tou en Français"). 
  •  Governements au Canada" Complete the word search on p. 20
  •  Français: Using your notes from " Poème Fixe" complete the packet " Si j'étais un poisson" p, 2, 3 and 4. It's the same activities as your packet " Le Secret", you just need to use le poême " Si j'étais un poisson".
