J'espère que tous va bien pour vous! Je vais vous envoyer un petit message plus tard.
For today's home Iearning I would like you to do the following:
Literacy (+30min.)
- Read for 15 minutes (You've been assigned a book to read on Boukili)
- Write sentences for the following 5 sight words:
- beaucoup, plusieurs, son, où, une, un - Lalilo (Continue to explore the world you are working on)
- Bonus: I'd love a little video message of you reading one or two of your sentences!
Physical Education (+30min.) & Well-being
- Don't forget to move your body and have healthy snacks and meals today!
Math (+30min.)
- Practice skip counting items in your home (by 2s, 5s, 10s, or 25s). (Coins, halloween candy, cereal bits)
- Zorbits has a new assignment posted.
- Problème du jour: Dylan a 40 biscuits. Il a mangé 9 biscuits. Il reste combien de biscuits?
(Show your work and keep your paper or take a photo so I can check your work.) - Bonus: Create a math problem (with words) for your classmates to do when we get back in class!

Literacy
- Read for 15 minutes. (French - you should have a book at your level and hopefully your library books, English reading will help with your strategies, as I know French books may be limited in your homes. Tomorrow we should be set up for some online reading.)
- Write sentences with the following 5 sight words from words we have worked on this year.

- Lalilo (online): Click on "student in school" code: PBKGCT. (Students know how to get on this with a simple google search of Lalilo.)
Math
- Review numbers 1-100, counting up and down by 2s & 10s.
- Review written numbers to 100.

Physical Activity
Min. 30 minutes: Enjoy some time outside and the fresh air! OR do Just Dance on youtube!

- Student will have a book to read each night. (It is very important that they read a book each night to continue the practice we do in class.)
- Practice skip counting by 5s. This can be done many ways:
- Have your child count items by 5s and see if they got the correct amount.
- Have your child write down the numbers, counting by 5s only, from any given multiple of 5 (5, 10, 15) up to another. (We go up to 100)
- Create a fill in the blanks of skip counting and have your child fill in the blanks. (5, 10, ___, 20, 25, ___.)
* It would be very helpful if they could do these tasks in French, right away, but if this is difficult, know that the skill is transferable (so they can solidify the French number names after they have learned how to skip count and what the pattern is.)
*Some student may also have a small baggie of sight words they should know by now. They should practice these as much as possible. (There is a powerpoint under "documents" that reads the words aloud for the student if they aren't sure.

Facebook is easier to upload a quick snap of a notice that was sent home and a large portion of our parents are on Facebook, so I often post reminders for special events/meals/days off, etc. on there. (Any photos of students, or their work, is usually added to this page.)

Reminder that we are recording our songs for the Christmas Concert tomorrow morning (First thing! Friday Dec. 11)
Students can dress as they would normally, but they are asked to also bring a hat and mittens, scarf, earmuffs, etc, for one of their songs.

This is a day every year where teachers are challenged to teach a class outdoors for at least 30 minutes.
We had a scavenger hunt. We were working on fall vocabulary, reading comprehension & team work.
We had a blast too!
