By the end of day, Tues May 5th, hopefully all students interested in attending the Mt A trip have received all forms (exception of students at Drama Fest). To be handed in by May 15th: ASD-N (district/school) waiver and Mount Allison Waiver (sent home May 4th/5th). To be in June 1st: $120.00 (may be less depending on fundraising).We are in the process of discussing fundraiser ideas. I wil be meeting with the students interested by the end of this week.  

I have received the minimum number of letters showing interest in the June Mount Allison trip.  I will be going ahead with planning.  Anyone with questions, feel free to email me but also, there will be another information letter going home shortly (with the registration form). 8B Math: Rate and Ratio test signed right away. Algrebra assignment was due this past Friday.  Hand in ASAP (detention to finish tomorrow). Tonight's questions: p.108 #'s6, 7, 8, 9, 15 8 Science: Get Homework Memo signed (or bring in a signed note that says: " I am aware that my child's homework is posted on the school website") "Flow Rate of a Liquid" LAB is due NEXT CLASS (including conclusion). 7 Science: *See note on '8 Science'. 'HEAT' title page was due last Friday. "Earth's Crust" test must be signed. 7 Soc St: 'Life in Canada in the Early 20th Century' assignment was due Mon Apr. 13th. 10% is lost for each day late and detention will be served after 2 days late

8B MATH: Students should be receiving their graded 'Ratios and Rates' quiz on Monday, to be signed for Tuesday (+2%).We will then be spending approximately one week on Algebraic Expressions.8 SCIENCE: Students have just completed a 'Layered Liquids' density Lab.  Their full reports are to be handed in by the end of day Friday April 10th.  Attached are two review sheets for Density and Viscosity (that we will be completing in class).  There will be a quiz late next week on Density and Viscosity.7 SCIENCE: Students just wrote a quiz on 'Earth's Crust'.  They are to bring this quiz back signed for Tuesday (+2%).7 SOC ST: Assignment on 'Life in Canada in the Early 20th Century' is due Monday.  April 2nd note has the assignment attached.All students were to bring their 'HOMEWORK MEMO' back signed for Fri, April 10th. 

8B Math: Quiz Wed. April 8th on Rate and Ratio (use sheets from this past week and review from Tues) 8 Science: We will be writing the conclusion for our 'Layered Liquids' lab next class. 7 Science: Earth's crust Test Thurs/Fri of next week. 7 Social Studies: Just began an assignment that will be due next Friday (see attached)

Science: All classes have been given an extension on the Science Fair Project deadline (original date was Feb.27).  The new due date is Thursday March 12th.  All experiment results need to be at school Wed. Feb.25th so we can work on graphs and conclusions. So far they should have complete: 1. Scientific Method write-up typed (Scientific Question, Hypothesis, Materials, Procedure) 2. Parts of Sci Method individually typed on paper to go on poster board (up to procedure). Due Wed: 1. Experiment results Due Thurs March 12th: 1. Sci Method write-up 2. Experiment results, graphs and conclusion 3. Poster board complete with title, sci method, pictures, etc. very neatly and clearly displayed in order.   Math 8B: "Let's go Shopping" flyers assignment was due last Friday.  Students who have not yet completed it will stay in at lunch to finish. "Sales tax and discount" sheet is due Thursday.
