Home Learning Day 14 January 28, 2022

Good morning students and parents! Happy Friday! Please remember to return all learning packets when you return on Monday.

Read 15-20 minutes and record on your log sheet.

Spelling – Review and practice spelling all List 15 words

         Put all list words in alphabetical order.

 

Math- Review the 6- and 7- Times Tables. You should be able to recall your facts in any order, quickly and easily.

 

Journal Writing – Complete prompt # 11 (See topic below)

    What is your favorite holiday? What makes this holiday so special?

Good morning students and parents! Hope all is well! 

Read 15-20 minutes and record on your reading log sheet. 

Spelling – Practice reading aloud and spelling the next 5 words from List 15.

         Write all the list words with double consonants. Add 5 more words to your list. 

Math - Review and study 7 Times Tables. Use the following site to practice your 7 times tables. Remember this site only works on a laptop or desktop, not on an I-pad.  (https://www.timestables.com). Remember to follow all 5 steps when you are practicing your facts.  

Journal Writing – Complete prompt # 9. Remember to write 4-5 good, complete sentences for your entry.

Home Learning Day 11 January 25\2022

Good morning students and parents! I hope everyone is doing well. 

Read 15 – 20 minutes and record on your reading log sheet. If you did not keep your log sheets, you may record each day on looseleaf. 

Spelling – Read aloud and practice the next 5 words from List 15.

Write the 3 list words ending in (ing) and one list word ending in (ed). Write the base words next to them. Be careful of the spelling for each base word. The first one has been done for you.

Math – Review and study the 7 times tables. Refer to the math fact times tables sheet attached yesterday on my teacher page.

Journal Writing – Complete journal prompt # 8 below. Remember your journal prompt should be at least 4-5 complete sentences in length.  Don’t forget to include your prompt number and date each time.

Good morning students and parents. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Please remember to keep all completed work inside of the brown envelope learning packet. Journal prompts and spelling activities can be completed on loose-leaf and included in your learning packet. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out through e-mail at (doris.mckinnon@nbed.nb.ca) 

Read 15-20 minutes and record on your reading log sheet. If you do not have a reading log sheet, please record on looseleaf. 

Spelling – Read aloud and practice spelling List 15 Words. Remember to only practice 5 words each day. On Friday, review all list words.

Write sentences with any 10 list words. 

Math – Study the 7 Times Tables. Remember to refer to the times tables sheet attached below on my teacher page.

Good morning, everyone! Happy Friday! I hope all is well. A reminder that today is the pick-up for the new learning packet at the front of the school, and the return of the original learning packet.

         Sometimes useful helps people do things. Make a list of things that are useful to you. How many things can you think of? Classify your list in a chart. Make the chart and complete.

Good morning students and parents. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Just a friendly reminder to make sure that all learning material is included inside of your learning packet and your name is visible on the front of packet. Please remember that the pick-up for the new learning packet , and the drop off of the original learning packet , will be on Friday, January 22nd between the hours of 9:00 -1:30 at the front of the school.   

 

Read 20 minutes and record on your reading log sheet.

Spelling – Review List 14 words by reading them aloud and spelling them aloud.

Read the clues below and write the correct Super Word in the blank. You will need to write the sentences out.
